With the sole objective of controlling and/or extracting smoke and heated gases and provide a non-contaminated environment during normal operation of the tunnel as well as for egress of tunnel users during emergency scenarios, we deliver Tunnel Ventilation System for both Roadways and Railway tunnels. This system helps support firefighting and rescue operations also. The system works primarily on fire detection which is detected by heat-sensing sensors and pollutant concentration inside the tunnel. Jet fans are operated depending upon smoke and heat generated due to fire whose rates are proportional to the fire itself. To mitigate this problem, generally, Longitudinal Ventilation is employed in smaller tunnels using jet fans. For long tunnels with bidirectional traffic even transverse ventilation ai also used. Ventilation design is done keeping in my various parameters such as fire volume, traffic direction, traffic density, gradient, the overburden of the tunnel, length, etc. Our solution strives for optimizing ventilation and power in the most profound manner.
